Hi, I’m Romeo — a tattoo artist, actor, storyteller, and trans advocate based in Vancouver, BC.
I specialize in fine line and culturally inspired tattoos, with a deep love for floral, spiritual, and Filipino-themed designs. I believe tattoos are more than art — they’re stories, memories, and moments of reclaiming identity. Creating meaningful, intentional tattoos that reflect who you are is at the heart of my work.
Outside the studio, I’m also the host and founder of Futr Azn — a web series that spotlights local Asian entrepreneurs and creatives. The goal? To inspire the next generation of Asian youth who dream of building something of their own. This project is my way of giving back, amplifying underrepresented voices, and building community through shared stories.
As a trans person, I’m passionate about holding space for others and advocating for safer, more inclusive environments — both in and outside of the tattoo world. Whether you're here for your first tattoo or your fifteenth, I’m honoured to create a space where you feel seen, heard, and respected.

I just got my first tattoo with Romeo and he is absolutely incredible in every way. The entire process was clear and painless thanks to Romeo's patience and expertise. Even though I was INCREDIBLY nervous going in, that all evaporated at the door. I've never met a more kind and talented artist. He made me feel like I was a friend rather than a client, and made sure I was comfortable at every step. I would highly recommend him to anyone, an absolutely sublime experience and I'm definitely coming back in the future for more!

I just got my tattoo done about 2 hours ago…Romeo is the nicest artist I have ever met! His whole personality is just oozing with warmth and friendliness. When I was I inquiring, he responded promptly and provided clear answers. When I was indecisive on the placement and was taking a long time, he was patient with me. When his dog was barking and wanted to say hi, he was respectful. He asked first if it’s ok for Mocha to say hi to me. just in case I may not be. But of course, I was 🥰. He listened and understood what I want. He made the whole experience so easy and comfortable. Honestly, it felt more like we’ve been friends for a long time. We could just keep talking. If you want a talented, kind and creative professional artist, I highly highly recommend Romeo.

From the moment I stepped into the studio, I knew I picked the right tattoo artist. Romeo was very personable and professional. He made my experience calming with good conversation, laughs and dope music. It was like reminiscing with an old friend. I almost forgot I was getting a tattoo! I would definitely recommend Zen Tattoo if you’re looking for an amazing tattoo artist and a clean, chill and zen-like studio.

I had the absolute best experience getting my fine-line tattoos done by Romeo. His artistry and attention to detail are incredible — the precision and delicacy of his work blew me away. On top of being an amazing artist, his personality made the whole experience so comfortable and enjoyable. He’s warm, patient, and so easy to talk to — you can tell he really cares about his clients and his craft.
